The 53rd China (Guangzhou) International Furniture Fair has arrived as scheduled. On March 29th, Professor Deng Liwen, the CMFP Design Director of Banfert and a professor at the Central South University of Forestry and Technology, delivered a keynote speech titled "Retro-Futurist Surface Design in the Perspective of Intangible Cultural Heritage." She showcased Banfert's new range of surface materials for living spaces, interpreting the artistic essence of Chinese, retro, futuristic, and cultural living spaces both theoretically and practically.

During the keynote, Professor Deng Liwen shared insights across four chapters: trend research (front-end basic research), touchpoints research (front-end design exploration), application research (mid-end design experimentation), and product research (back-end production practice). From analyzing retro trends to delving into intangible heritage bamboo weaving culture, from designing creative textures to applying surface materials, Professor Deng Liwen unraveled the charm of retro-futurism and foresaw future aesthetics in living.

Banfert's showcase of living space surface materials focused on CMF design innovation with PETG films, including the metallic luster of azure and white dragon scale films, the simplicity of natural eco-wood grain films, and the elegance of Song Dynasty-inspired bamboo weaving embossed films. Enhanced by its independently developed 172 soft fog technology, Banfert engaged the audience in a dialogue about "intangible heritage," "future," "technology," and "nature."
